Sustainability
Supporting organic / regenerative farmers, reducing our waste and being an environmentally positive business form the foundation of all that we do.
To that end, here are some measures we take:
- All products in our store are organically grown, and free from synthetic fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, and the like.
- All meat in our store is free range, grass fed & finished, free from antibiotics, hormones and vaccinations.
- We compost all coffee grounds & food waste through the local composting Loop, diverting hundreds of kilo's of waste from landfill each year.
- Hello Coffee provide our beans in 5kg reusable tins, eliminating the need for single use plastic. We encourage customers to bring their own container to fill up for buy beans for home.
- We utilise 'The Juggler' to dispense milk from 10L bladders, instead of using 2L milk bottles. This reduces our plastic use by 80%.
- All takeaway cups, lids and straws are home compostable (shout out to the folks at Compostable Alternatives!)
- 50c discount is offered when you bring a reusable Keep Cup.
- We buy our cleaning products in bulk, from the non toxic, natural company 'Abode'.
- All our water is filtered, removing common contaminants such as fluoride, chlorine and PFA's.
- We regularly donate to Farmer's Footprint, to support their advocacy for the welfare of our farmers & regenerative agriculture movement.
